James Daniels is the General Manager of Element’s Connected Technologies business in the UK, currently responsible for Operations in our Hull, Skelmersdale, Malvern, Wimborne and Oxford laboratories.
James Daniels is the General Manager of Element’s Connected Technologies business in the UK, currently responsible for Operations in our Hull, Skelmersdale, Malvern, Wimborne and Oxford laboratories. An experienced CE marking and product conformity advisor, over the last 20 years he has held positions across the testing and certification industry - as Technical Manager for an EMC filter manufacturer, as a product safety, EMC and machinery expert, and as Technical Director of an independent CE marking consultancy.
James has a background in helping manufacturers understand and meet their obligations for product compliance and certification. Originally joining Element as the Early Stage Qualification and Advisory Services Manager, he is an expert at guiding companies from product conception to global market access and can advise on all aspects of testing, pre-compliance, and international certification requirements.
After successes in developing the Advisory Services concept, he progressed to an Operations Management role before being appointed General Manager. With significant experience in core areas such as commercial EMC and product safety (both general product safety and medical devices), James has also been involved with ATEX, Radio, and Global Market Access during his career.
James’ focus is now on leading Element’s growing UK Connected Technologies business, delivering direction, support, and day-to-day management. As well as striving to ensure Element’s high quality, safety, and environmental standards are maintained, he is proactively involved in strategic growth initiatives, operational excellence, innovation, and resource development.
He is also in demand as a speaker and technical training session provider across the UK, and beyond.
