Experience

Jeff Brosius has over 10 years of experience in the areas of fracture mechanics, mechanical testing, test development, calibration, and laboratory management. He leverages skills in instrumentation, CAD, and software development to further Element’s technical excellence and help solve complex challenges.

Jeff is a participant in a variety of industry technical committees including, but not limited to, API 1104 Fracture Mechanics Subcommittee, API SC5 Task Group on Line Pipe (TGLP), and ASTM committees A01, E08, and E28.

Jeff is based in Element's Houston (Yorktown) Laboratory.

Career highlights

    • Jeff graduated with a B.S. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Colorado School of Mines in 2013, after which he joined Exova Houston as a Metallurgical Engineer. He joined Element when Exova was acquired in 2017.
    • Before moving into his role as Technical Manager, Jeff led Element Houston’s Mechanical Testing and Fracture Mechanics Laboratory team for over 6 years with no recordable injuries in the department.
