AMSTERDAM, 21st March 2012 - Element Wausau has become the 3rd Element laboratory qualified and accredited to perform testing of Safety Glazing materials. The Wisconsin fenestration testing facility has acquired a new, state of the art impact test frame to enable full-scale safety glazing testing for clients in windows, doors, and other building envelope product manufacturing.
Element Wausau joins Element Des Moines and Element Houston with the capabilities of testing in accordance with ANSI Z97.1-2009 and CPSC 16 CRF 1201. All 3 locations are accredited by the Safety Glazing Certification Council (SGCC) as approved testing Laboratories.

SGCC certification helps manufacturers market their products as tested by independent, third-party laboratories and as meeting specifications that reduce the risk of injury to people.
