London UK - 7th October 2016 – Element Materials Technology, the leading independent global testing company, together with their previous private equity sponsor 3i, have been awarded ‘Mid-Market – Exits of the Year’ at the unquote’’ British Private Equity awards.
Element and 3i were winners of the ‘Mid-Market - Exits of the Year’ award in recognition of their combined efforts throughout the 3i's ownership of Element, that culminated in the sale of Element to their current private equity sponsor, Bridgepoint in March 2016.
Since its formation in 2010 Element, together with the support of 3i, has substantially increased its technical capabilities, capacities & international footprint; tripled the size of its team of Engaged Experts and trebled its annual revenues, making it the fastest growing company in the global Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) market.

Held on the 4th of October at The Brewery in London, the awards celebrate innovation and excellence in the private equity and venture capital sector. Together, 3I and Element fought off significant competition from four other private equity sponsored companies to win this prestigious award. The judge’s selection criteria included outstanding origination, value creation during ownership and excellent deal execution.
This recognition comes on the back of a fantastic few days for Element which was also recognized as one of Britain’s leading mid-market private companies in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 league table published on the 2nd of October.
