LONDON, UK – November 23, 2016 – Element Materials Technology has launched its Coatings Center of Technical Excellence at its Amsterdam, NL facility to deliver enhanced services for the Oil & Gas and power generation sectors. The significant investment expands capacity in its existing Coatings testing services for pipelines and field joints, while adding a wide range of tests for Coatings for offshore and onshore assets.
Element Amsterdam’s extended capabilities allow clients to test to a full range of global Coatings standards, from ISO 20340 to NACE TM104-404, as well as in-demand standards and methodologies required by Oil & Gas Majors and their supply chain partners. The location delivers testing services from pre-qualification of Coatings in R&D phases, through to process/production qualification testing for Coatings applications on active projects.
Element’s latest investment in expanding and enhancing Coatings activities in the Oil & Gas sector follows the appointment of Element’s Global Coatings Specialist, Marie Halliday, in 2015.
Rod Martin, Element’s Executive Vice President, Oil & Gas, comments: “Element’s long-term strategy in the Oil & Gas sector has been built on technical leadership to identify and deliver new and critical services for key clients.
